BMF Effects State of the Union

Hey Guys,

I wanted to give you all an update on the current state of BMF effects. First off, BMF is ALIVE and WELL! With the number of pedal builders/companies cutting back or shutting down, I am glad I can keep things going.

With the ever-fluctuating prices of raw materials due to tariffs, I wanted to take some time to study the trends and determine where BMF needs to be in terms of price point. Since January 1st, my build cost per pedal has increased by 54%. Despite this increase, I have decided to not raise prices on my pedals. This may change in the future, but as of right now, no price increases. Many of us are trying to figure out how to make ends meet in this chaotic time, and I have decided to absorb the increase rather than passing it on.

This leads to my second update, with the increased cost of production, I have decided to trim down the product line as well as break the pedals up into two categories.

The Standard Series – These will be the pedals that continually sell and cover the tonal bases.

The Legacy Series – These will be the pedals that have been in the line up over the years but are a little more niche. They will be built in small batches and sold for a limited time as dictated by interest.

The Custom Shop limited runs will continue to run as they have been. I will be sending another update in the next few weeks with the revised lineup and an opportunity to order a few of the pedals I have on hand before they are moved to legacy status.

I genuinely appreciate all your support over the last 20 years, and I am excited for the future!
